A two-day spiritual course by Sri Ramachandra
‘Ishta Dhyana: Ganapati Dharana’
Ishta meaning Dear. A form of deity who is close to seeker's heart is often referred to as Ishta. Dhyana means to meditate. So this is a two day course which aims to introduce basic elements of worship of one's Dear Deity.
A two day Spiritual course lead by seasoned spiritual practitioner of the path.
Mahaganapati holds a foundational place in Sanatana Dharma, who holds a key position across diverse sub-traditions.
Here is link to brief write up about Mahaganapati, authored by Sri Ramachandra
Mahaganapati is considered as the Lord of all auspicious beginnings, and his grace is immensely beneficial to every upasaka whatever be his path. His help is a stepping stone to attain greater wisdom and spiritual strength. A mighty power who erases all stumbling blocks and circumvents all difficulties. Traditionally all worship can commence only after the invocation of Mahaganapati.
About the course:
Ganapati Dhārana is a 2 day program that enables participants to learn about some basic methods of worship and sadhana of Ganapati. This step is a pivotal foundation for all sadhana , especially in the path of worshipping deity through Mantra. This program ensures an immersive learning experience.
Whom would this course benefit most ?
This course is designed for the beginners , who have had some form connection or inclination to take up deity worship, however have not found guidance to start on the path.
There are many seekers, who are inclined to set up an altar in their space for spiritual practice. They would also have several deities with whom the aspirant has forged connection, however one still feels the need for learning ways to conduct right form worship.
Course is designed to have segments of Question and answers, where in queries related to practise will be answered.
This course might not be very helpful for those....
Who are probably wanting to explore something new. Especially those who are trying to 'understand' path and deity on the basis of intellectual curiosity.
As the program is designed more around practise and has a lesser component about philosophical or intellectual exploration of the subject.
Other relevant points:
All question and answers will be addressed in the group setting.
There will not be any one-on-one interactions due to paucity of time.
All interaction will be oriented towards spiritual practice only.
Pertinent handouts and guidance will be handed over.
Participants will learn about essential ritual methods that accompany deity worship.
